Kirkham Neckdown Walking Tour with SFMTA

Join the Westside Family Democratic Club and SFMTA Traffic Engineer Damon Curtis for a discussion of the new neckdown on Kirkham Street between 9th and 10th Avenue.

​We’ll gather in front of Roxie’s Deli, talk for a bit about the principles of traffic calming, and discuss the goals and trade-offs of the new neckdown design.

​This neckdown has generated a lot of big feelings! The club wanted to host this event to give people the opportunity to learn more about traffic calming and ask questions of the SFTMA about how this design came to be. Please come to learn and not to attack. Antagonistic or bullying behavior will not be permitted.
