Event Details

San Francisco Village is a citywide network empowering older San Franciscans and supporting active aging for SF residents over 60, helping them remain independent in their own homes and neighborhoods. San Francisco Village is hosting a free informational meeting at the Sunset Recreation Center on Sunday, October 19th from 2:30-4:00pm for residents who would like to learn more about participating.

San Francisco Village is dedicated
to supporting active aging for SF residents over 60, helping them remain independent in their own homes and neighborhoods. The Village provides a network of service providers to help with everything from transportation to meal prep to computer assistance. Members form a vibrant community and participate in classes, outings, and social events.

While the Village actively serves San Franciscans 60 and older, there are also many volunteer opportunities available for residents younger than 60. The October 19th open house will feature an overview of the organization and the “Village Model,” benefits of membership, as well as testimonials from current San Francisco Village members and volunteers.
