The Full Story

DART

The histories of major disasters (devastating earthquakes, hurricanes, tornados, etc.) show that communities come together during times of crisis and residents help each other out. DART aims to prepare as best we can to enable this beautiful flowering of altruism when the time comes, and make our community as resilient as possible.

Residents of San Francisco's Inner Sunset and Golden Gate Heights organized the Disaster Area Readiness Team (DART) in 2015 to help our community plan for a disaster such as a major earthquake and to respond in the quickest, most efficient manner possible.

The Readiness Team is a fiscally sponsored project of Inner Sunset Park Neighbors and we work closely with the Inner Sunset/Golden Gate Heights Neighborhood Emergency Response Team (IS/GGH NERT). Many Readiness Team members have taken the NERT training. We welcome all residents and local businesses and nonprofits to be part of our Readiness Team.
